Yesterday I installed THREE operating systems in my laptop successfully, and the sequence is vista->ubuntu->windows7
First is vista, this step is very easy, just as the normal setup, choose the partition and the language..etc
After finish installing vista, then install unbuntu 9.04, this step is also very easy, go to BIOS, and config the boot sequence as DVD first, then you can install it automatically, but one step you have to notice, when install the grub, you’d better choose the parition that you install ubuntu.
OK,then reboot your computer, OH NO, go vista directly, dont be nervous, you are much closer to success.
Download EasyBCD from Internet, install and run it, choose Add entries, then click “Linux”, “Grub”, and type the boot name “Ubuntu”, last, choose the “Linux native” partiton, reboot, you can see “Ubuntu” in your vista boot loader.

NEXT, Windows 7 RC, I think windows seven is wonderful in running speed and compatibility, so i want to have a try.
you’d better burn a DVD and install it, then you can as the hint to install as same as vista(notice that seven can not be installed in the same partition with vista)
OK, then you finish installing Windows 7, try vista and 7, I think you can run it successfully
BUT when you try to run Ubuntu, CAN NOT!just like DOS, show “grub:>”
do not be nervous, because you installed the seven, you need to rebuild the grub loader
how to rebuild?
follow me:
just type these in order when you click “Ubuntu”
sudo su
grub
find /boot/grub/stage1
root(hd0,9)//notice that(hd0,*) is the partition you have installed the Ubuntu
setup(hd0)

then quit and reboot
you can see grub directly, if you want to run vista or 7, just choose the last one “vista/longhorn” then it will run vista loader~
Enjoy~
